Abstract

This article introduces the dossier on migrant subjects in the Revista Chilena de Antropología. This special issue focuses on the central issue of displacements and (im)mobilities in Latin America in the face of increasing migration control policies in the region. It emphasizes the importance of analyzing recent migrations from Anthropology and Social Sciences through research that, from its epistemological, theoretical, and methodological dimensions, challenges the classical binary notion of “otherness” to advance toward a greater understanding of migrant subjects and subjectivities.
