The processes of heritage and Atacama nativism are part of a scientific, museum and community dynamics of cultural revitalization, in a maelstrom of external political, economic and social demands. It is from that field of interactions that this text is from. Through the analysis of the patrimonial processes that circulate around the Museum of San Pedro de Atacama, it is tried to disclose the diverse tensions and contradictions that mark the way of the constitution of the natives to emerge as political subjects.
