This article presents the health policy aimed at adolescent population implemented in Argentina through the Comprehensive Health National Program in Adolescence, under the Ministry of Health of the Nation. In this aspect, the conceptual bases that guide the development of the Program are exposed bellow. This includes the rights approach, the integral conception of health and their social determinants. Among the multiples health determinants we choose gender inequalities as main point which combined with social factors allows a better understanding of the vulnerabilities of women and men during this vital stage focusing on the construction of masculinities and their implications. Likewise, a brief analysis of the epidemiological profile of the adolescent population in the country is presented, as well as the main strategies supported by the gender perspective, which have been part of the objective of the program during the ten years of existence
