Abstract

In a system of economic freedom such as the one advocated by the Political Charter of 1980, State intervention in the economy must be especially justified. In this sense, regulating the prices that private companies charge for public utility services is only if this mechanism becomes necessary, in order to ensure certain guarantees that citizens demand as a counterpart to the privatization of public services, once in the hands of of the State, and today privatized.
