The Revista de Derecho Económico (RDE) is a biannual digital publication (June and December) by the Department of Economic Law of the Law School at the University of Chile, dating back to 1962. Its aim is to disseminate articles related to Economic Law within the national and international legal community.
Unpublished works in Spanish and English are accepted, and they must be submitted exclusively through the Journal's website. The evaluation process of the articles is conducted by external reviewers who are experts in the subject, using a double-blind system, where both authors and reviewers are unaware of each other’s identity and institutional affiliation. The Editorial Team will assess the relevance of the submitted material, and will promptly notify the author about the acceptance or rejection of the submitted work. For more information, we invite you to review our publication policies.
Our editorial line covers topics related to Economic Law, such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic policies, economic public order, free competition, public service regulation, consumer law, banking law, securities market law, tax law, accounting, international trade and finance, environmental law and natural resources, mining law, water law, energy law, international economic law, economic analysis of law, and other related topics.
No charges are applied to access published articles, nor are fees imposed on authors for the processing, editing, and submission of articles, allowing for open and free access.
Since 2021, the Revista de Derecho Económico has provided free, unrestricted, and immediate access to its final published content under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-SA 4.0), with no embargo period and no need for users to register. This is based on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports greater global knowledge exchange. In line with this, the Journal adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
Additionally, the RDE offers free, immediate access to all its content in .PDF, .MOBI, .EPUB, and .HTML formats, to ensure the widest dissemination of contributions made by the authors.
